Klaproth & Casatus – 2005 02 19

My feature view was of Klaproth (26.0W/69.7S) and Casatus (30.5W/76.6S), together forming a double crater (Rukl 72). Klaproth is 119km diameter just north of Casatus, which is 111km. From the EP, it looked like Klaproth encircled Casatus.

Casatus A was just W/SW, 56km
Cas. C – center of Casatus, 17km
Cas. H – barely apparent above Casatus in the drawing by the U shaped outline, 35km
Cas. J – 36km. There is a feature to the left of Casatus that looks like Casatus. No, I didn’t accidently draw it twice. In the crook of that feature directly below Cas. C, is Cas. J.
Kla. A – North of Klaproth, 30km
Kla. G – west of Klaproth, 30km
Kla. H – just below G, 37km
Blancanus E – above and to the Kla. A, 37km. My view made it look smaller than Kla. A.
Blan. C is the pretty shaped crater NW of Klaproth, 46×46
Do you see the salamander at the lower left of the sketch? Well, Cas. K is at the top of the tail and Cas. D is between the two left legs.
