Hainzel – 2005 10 14
Hainzel (Rukl 63) was named after Paul Hainzel, a Danish astronomer born in 1570. This set of craters is described as a very complex formation with three overlapping craters and a tormented floor….which always makes me immediately think other lunar craters are picking on them. Hainzel itself is approx. 70km long without an estimation for the height as far as I can tell. Hainzel C crushes the eastern wall of its mother crater with A doing the same to the north. Looking around, I was surprised at all the little craters popping out in between the washboard effects the atmosphere was having on my view.
